Use acabar de + the infinitive: Acabo de comer (I have just eaten), Acabamos de llegar (We have just arrived). Acabar is a regular -ar verb in the present tense.
Use the present tense plus desde hace + the time: Estudio español desde hace tres años (I have been studying Spanish for three years). Spanish uses the present, not a past tense, for an action still going on.
It means 'to keep on' or 'still be doing' something: Sigo estudiando (I keep studying / I am still studying), Sigue lloviendo (It keeps raining). Seguir changes e to i: sigo, sigues, sigue.
